When we were younger and a teenager and we had our acne outbreaks were told to cut out the potato chips and given a tube of Clearasil. Today, we know far more about the reasons why some people develop acne and how it can most effectively be treated. Even though we have this knowledge I still meet a lot of teenagers and adults who have tried a lot of different products, treatments, medication and antibiotics without a successful outcome.

There is no doubt about the fact that acne causes a lot of low self confidence. Both among teenagers and more mature. I have met women who can’t dream about showing themselves outside their homes without make up and I have seen a lot of tears due to these acne outbreaks.

All cases of acne are not created equal, and neither are all acne treatments. Although all acne has its roots in the same process -- hormonal fluctuations that stimulate oil production and not all acne is equally severe and not all cases of acne will respond to the same types of treatments.

Most cases of acne fit within one of three main categories:

Comedonal acne
This is the kind of mild acne that involves blackheads and whiteheads. It forms because a component of skin oil called sebum, along with old skin cells, block the pores of the skin. Comedonal acne appears most often on the forehead, nose, and chin.

Inflammatory acne
This form of acne occurs when the area just under the “plug” (the blackhead or whitehead) becomes reddened and inflamed.

Cystic acne
The most severe form of acne, cystic acne develops as the result of an actual infection in the area of the outbreak. Cystic acne often runs in families. It’s often very painful and can result in disfiguring, permanent scarring.
The type of treatment that works for you will depend both on the kind of acne you have, and the additional factors that seem to trigger acne outbreaks.

What I have seen and experienced working with skin care for several years is that very often the treatments are very aggressive and most of the cases there are no need for antibiotics or other medical treatments.

most breakouts, this cleanser leaves your skin fresh and clean without feeling tight or dry.

The benefit of the cleanser is that the product addresses both the PRESENT and FUTURE issues of blemish-prone skin in the following way:

Toner:
This advanced toner calms angry, red skin and manages present oil levels, promoting a shine-free, clear complexion. Licorice

Day CreamClear Action Acne skin care
Clear away the past, present and future signs of breakouts with Nu Skin Clear Action. Day Treatment. This lightweight gel
penetrates pores and dissolves debris with a unique combination of two clinically proven ingredients − salicylic acid (a Beta-Hydroxy acid), that penetrates pores to eliminate most blemishes and mandelic acid (a lipid soluble Alpha Hydroxy Acid) − to target present and future breakouts. While mandelic acid also gently exfoliates the skin to reduce discoloration to give a smoother and clearer appearance. It maintains clear pores to prevent breakout from recurring.

It also contains white tea extract, a powerful antioxidant that restores skin’s natural resiliency while supporting its resistance to the ageing effects of the environment.

Another key ingredient is the gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid that works to gently penetrate the skin to reduce the appearance of pore size and the visible effects of acne.

With a smoother, clearer complexion, you can face every day with confidence.

Night Cream:
The night treatment helps minimize the signs of breakouts while you sleep. Salicylic acid clears pores while retinol and patented alpha lipoic acid work to diminish the appearance of uneven skin texture and discoloration associated with past breakouts for a smooth, clear, even-toned complexion.
